In Duluth, MN, a guy killed five people. Himself included. Over an election. What the hell is that?
I’m never going to say someone shouldn’t commit suicide. That’s a nuanced topic. I’m not qualified to offer opinions on other people’s choices. Sure, I feel getting help is the way to go.
Murder of your spouse, kids, and ex? Yeah, not on board with that.
It was just an election.
Yeah, Trump won.
The world didn’t end.
Yes, the world is changing. But it’s always in flux.
History shows economies evolve through upheaval. We went from farms to factories to gig work. Nothing stays the same. Why would politics?
An election is just one more change in the world.
Yeah, I get it. There’s a lot up in the air.
I’m not on board with much of what Trump promises. I voted. I lost. But I get some of what he wants to do. Who knows? Maybe I’m wrong.
Maybe he’ll do amazing things for America. I’ll give him credit for one thing. He did an incredible job with the rapid development and rollout of COVID-19 vaccines during his first term. I was impressed.
The thing is, we’re living in a time of the unknown. Constant change is part of the background.
Whether Trump makes the changes he ran on or not, it’s clear Americans desperately want change.
Frankly, if there’d been a Dem primary and Bernie Sanders was running, I’d have voted for him.
But that wasn’t an option.
The election is over.
We’re living in a time of change. We always have been.
Life keeps moving.
We adapt.
