FriendsGiving

This holiday is awesome. The Sunday before Thanksgiving.

A feast with family of the heart. The family we choose. Whether we say it out loud or not.

The feeling of warmth lingers.

Relaxing. Enjoyable.

Casual hangout. Catching up. In person. Stories are more easily shared.

But also eye-opening.

It’s easy to forget we’re all in transit.

However long we have with the ones we love. Sooner or later, it ends.

People leave. Time together ends. It’s an odd feeling. Someone else, not me, is leaving. Instead, I’m the one left behind.

At least it’s not tomorrow.

There’s still time to enjoy.

Awareness makes it sweeter.
